250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence Young Hyson Loose Commemorative Tea Tin

A Green Tea for a Bold New Nation

Young Hyson, a Chinese green tea beloved by American revolutionaries, was among the most heavily taxed imports of the era. Crisp and warm, it offered a refreshing contrast to the turmoil of the time—and was one of the teas destroyed during the Boston Tea Party. This 250th Anniversary edition honors the legacy of the Declaration of Independence with a tin as steeped in symbolism as the tea it holds.

Notes: Light & sweet, spring-like in flavor. Young Hyson (picked in spring) is considered a higher quality tea than Hyson.
